Join me in the 40 Days of Water from February 13 to March 30 and provide clean drinking water for the people of Uganda. Here's how it works. Just ditch the morning coffee and juice, leave out the lunchtime soda, and cancel the evening beverage in lieu of clean water from the tap. By sacrificing your daily routine 6 days a week, you will make a difference in the daily routine of a person in Africa.
Sundays are feast days! You get to enjoy your favorite beverages one day out of the week, which will remind you just how much you miss them the other 6 days. By giving up what you’d normally drink in exchange for the water from your tap you can save that money to help build clean water projects for communities in Uganda.
Go to www.bloodwatermission.com to register and create your own profile page. You can track your progress, share your experience with friends and see how much money has gone towards clean water projects in Uganda.
Since it's easier to do this with family and friends, I'd love to have you participate with me. Won't you join me?
Let me know if you sign up and decide to do the 40 day challenge!!!
This summer our church is once again returning to Managua, Nicaragua to serve with ABWE missionaries. Our prayer was to be able to take the whole family to serve together. We have had the opportunity to take both Christian and Noah on trips over the past two summers. When the dates for this year's trip were announced, I was disappointed because I knew it would interfere with the start of 2-a-days for Christian and Noah. And with Christian heading off to college next summer, I figured a family trip to Nicaragua wouldn't happen.
But God knew something that I didn't. Just a few days before the informational meeting about the trip we found out that because the school year ends a week later this year, then 2-a-days will start a week later. So not only will the trip not interfere, it falls during their one week off of football for the entire summer!!! I was so excited when Christian told me that, I was ready to dance and shout!! (I didn't because then they wouldn't want to go across town with me much less to another country)
I'm so excited to serve in Nicaragua with all 4 of my children. I'm especially excited to share my love for the people of Nicaragua with Madison & Tyler. I pray that they are drawn to them as much as the rest of us have been.
Now that God has opened the door for all of us to go on this trip, I know he will provide the funding. I'm so excited to see how God provides for this trip. First things first....time to get the youngest two some passports!!
